PERCHE’ UN DOPONONSCUOLA A FORTE MARGHERA
Questa attività extrascolastica vuole offrire alle famiglie l’opportunità di far vivere ai bambini una esperienza di socialità diversa da quelle usuali: è basata sull’ accoglienza dei bambini in uno spazio a loro dedicato e che possano col tempo sentire come proprio; un contesto in cui le varie attività non siano finalizzate a priori (non una serie di “corsi” o laboratori specifici), ma lascino ai bambini la possibilità di sviluppare liberamente i loro interessi offrendo loro una ampia serie di alternative possibili.
Il gioco in questo contesto non viene considerato una attività in contrasto con l’apprendimento, ma è ritenuto la modalità fondamentale attraverso cui esso avviene; il nostro modo di operare e stare vicini ai bambini si basa quindi sul principio della loro libera adesione alle diverse forme di espressione ed esperienza (creta, pittura, costruzioni, fotografia, rapporto con la natura, navigazione lagunare, ecc) e non prevede alcuna forma di costrizione (nemmeno mascherata sotto forma di persuasione): siamo convinti che il vero apprendimento avvenga solo se è motivato da un interesse reale e che l’intervento degli adulti debba rispettare l’autonomia e le caratteristiche dei singoli individui. Per noi i bambini sono prima di tutto individui singolari e quindi diversi l’uno dall’altro, che vanno quindi sempre rispettati come tali.
Crediamo che per i bambini sia importante poter avere a disposizione uno spazio loro dedicato che possano col tempo sentire come proprio: dove sapere che possono ritrovarsi anche solo per il gusto di stare insieme, in cui lasciare e trovare le cose che hanno fatto, gli strumenti che hanno imparato ad utilizzare, insomma tutte le tracce materiali e spirituali del loro impegno giocoso.
Crediamo che lo spazio del laboratorio e quello straordinario e ancora protetto di Forte Marghera abbiano le caratteristiche ottimali per questo genere di fruizione.
Gli operatori che accompagnano i bambini nelle attività sono maestri, educatori e studenti di pedagogia che condividono questo progetto educativo.
E’ prevista la presenza di ospiti esterni che vorranno condividere la loro esperienza, la loro memoria, le loro abilità, i loro saperi con i bambini.

THE DOPONONSCUOLA at FORTE MARGHERA
This activity wants to give children the opportunity to have a social experience different from the usual ones: it is based on the reception of kids in a space dedicated to them and that they can in time feel right; a context in which various activities are not finalized (not a series of “courses” or workshops), but allow children the opportunity to develop freely their interests by offering them a wide range of available options.
Play in this context is not considered an asset as opposed to learning, but is considered the fundamental mode through which it takes place; the way we stay close to children is based on the principle of their free membership to different forms of expression and experience (clay, painting, construction, photography, relationship with nature, navigation, etc.) and does not provide for any form of constraint (not even disguised in the form of persuasion): we believe that true learning takes place only if it is motivated by a real interest and that the intervention of adults must respect the autonomy and the characteristics of individuals. For us children are first and foremost individuals unique and so different from each other, which should be respected as such.
We believe that it is important for children to have their own space which can over time feel as belonging to them: where to know that they can meet even just for the sake of togetherness, to leave and find things they have done, the tools they have learned to use, I mean all material and spiritual traces of their commitment.
We believe that the laboratory space and the still protected Forte Marghera has the ideal characteristics for this kind of use.
Operators who accompany children in activities are teachers, educators and students of pedagogy that share this educational project.
It is expected the presence of residents who want to share their experience, their memory, their skills, their knowledge with children.
